Relais D2D offers a solution for managing resource sharing within a group. Beginning with a patron request, we will demonstrate the various options for fulfillment both within and outside of a group. Learn how each participating library can determine what items from their collections may circulate within the group through D2D’s requestability logic. When no lendable copies are available in-group, we will demonstrate how a user can have their request moved seamlessly from the D2D interface into a library’s ILL system, e.g. ILLiad. Staff processing, highlighting both lending and borrowing library workflows, will demonstrate the full request lifecycle in the system. NCIP interoperability and patron communication options will be addressed throughout the demo.
